November 2000 Floods

After days of torrential rain throughout the country, the latter part of 2000 saw some of the worst flooding ever witnessed in many areas.  Fortunately, here in Knottingley and Ferrybridge, we were spared the misery that so many others suffered elsewhere.

Here are a series of pictures submitted by Knottingley resident Keith Woodhouse depicting the River Aire during November 2000.
