From the WMDC Press and Communications Office NEW DIGITAL GIG GUIDEWakefield Interactive, the Council's digital interactive television service, has expanded its events guide to include local gigs and music events. The guide now includes listings from Wakefield Music Collective, Wakefield Jazz and other concerts and music events throughout the Wakefield District. If there are any gigs or events that haven't been included, people can submit them via the site. Cllr Denise Jeffery, Cabinet Member for Culture, Tourism and Sport, said: "This is a marvellous service, especially for people who don't have a computer at home. You can now use your TV or 3G phone to find out what events are going on in Wakefield, as well as to use important council services such as reporting problems in your area." Check out the music listings, plus a range of other Council services and information, through your digital TV (NTL, Sky and Telewest) or on your 3G or WAP/GPRS enabled mobile phone.
