STEPPING OUT IN STYLE
DISPLAY OF HISTORIC FOOTWEAR

Young visitors to Knottingley library will be stepping out in style in the Easter holidays.

With the library's current Mini Museum display of historic footwear and artist Sarah Fisher to provide inspiration, youngsters will design and make a giant shoe for display in the library.

Outreach Curator Erica Ramsay said: "This workshop will give the children the opportunity to work together on a large scale shoe that they can show off to their friends in the library."

The free workshop will be held on Tuesday April 18 from 2.30 -3.30pm and is open to children aged four upwards.

Mini Museums are funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, Wakefield Council and Sure Start.
