SHAW
FAMILY, KNOTTINGLEY I am searching for information regarding my SHAW family ancestors. My grandfather, William Shaw, was born in Hill Top, Knottingley, 1908, and his father, John Arthur Shaw, was born in Holes, Knottingley, in 1879. He is on the 1901 census living in Weeland Road, and was a glassblower. He married Alice Beckett. I believe John's father, William, was a potter and moved to Knottingley from Staffordshire. His wife was Mary Ann Shaw. I would be interested in any information regarding them, places of work, gravestones, living ancestors etc. Melanie
