PATTEN
/ TEAR FAMILY HISTORY My grandparents, Jane Patten and Joe Tear, were married from Vale Head Farm, Hill Top, Knottingley in 1913. I would like to know where this is and who he was working for. I'm particularly interested to follow their trek, living at various farms i.e. West Hardwick, then Church Lane Farm Featherstone, then Church Farm High Ackworth and then onto Manor Farm, Woolley. All this happened between 1913 and 1924, possibly moving where the work was available. The names Smith and Rowbottom are mentioned by my 93 year old uncle, as possible names of the farmers they were working for. Any confirmation or additional information would be great. Judith
