PRIVATE WILLIAM ARTHUR DOBSON
Mr. and Mrs. J. Dobson, of 12 Pinders Crescent, Ferrybridge,have been notified
officially that their son, Private W.A. Dobson, of the Parachute Regiment,
was killed in Normandy on Invasion Day. Private Dobson who was 26, had
been in the army for about four years, and served in Iceland. Before he
joined the Army he was at Jackson Glassworks, Knottingley. A memorial
service is to be held on Sunday at the Fishergate Methodist Church, of
which he was a member.
