Wartime Memories: Roll of Honour

PRIVATE JAMES GREGG TOWELL

Private James Gregg Towell, 27, of Low Green, Brotherton, has died of his wounds in Normandy. His wife received notification to that effect yesterday week. He was the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. N. Towell of Low Street, and as reported in a recent issue their eldest son Harold was killed in the evacuation of France. Gregg worked at Hargreaves limequarry, Knottingley.
