PRIVATE CHARLES MOON


DIED OF HIS WOUNDS

News has been received by Mr. and Mrs. J. Moon, of 116 Westfield Avenue, Knottingley, that their son Private Charles Moon, of the Army Catering Corps, has died of his wounds while serving in the Central Mediterranean Theatre of War.

He has been abroad for over three years and before joining the Army in May 1940, he worked with the Knottingley Ambulance Brigade. He has a daughter almost three years old.

His brother Private George Moon has been a Prisoner of War in Stalag XXA, Germany, since April 1940.
