PRIVATE GEORGE HODGSON

DEATH IN ITALY

Mrs Hodgson, of Brotherton, has been officially notified of the death in Italy of her Husband, Private George Hodgson, (Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Regiment) who was the only son of Mr R Hodgson of Furness Yard.

A letter from his Major says he was wounded in action on the 3rd of November and died two hours later. Private Hodgson who was 30 years old, had been in the Army for four years and formerly worked at Fryston Colliery. Besides the widow he leaves one son.
