After the war on his return to the relative calm of civvy street, Fred Jackson
took over the running of the KINGS HEAD INN in the village of Beal which he ran
for 34 years. Such was his popularity and success in the brewery trade that the
pub soon adopted the name of 'FRED'S' and to this day it is still known to many
