POSTHUMOUS AWARD

MAY 1946

The next of kin of more than 170 dead servicemen received awards and Decorations from the King at an Investiture at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday.

Among them was Mr. W.S. Skelton, who was accompanied by his sister Mrs Taylor of Westfields, Knottingley, to receive a D.F.M. awarded to his son, the late Flight Sergeant John Skelton R.A.F.V.R.
