Jonathan Arblaster, c/o The Woodford Group Ltd, have resubmitted an application for outline planning permission for 169 houses at the quarry to the rear of Womersley Road.

Interestingly there are great Crested Newts adjacent to the site and local campaigners are trying to ensure they are protected. One of the most knowledgeable people on the subject of newts happens to be Ken Livingstone, the elected Mayor of London, and campaigners have contacted his office and he has signposted them to a couple of organisations that may be able to help.
