During 1953-54 Knottingley Albion played in the Pontefract, Castleford &
District Under 18 League.
They are pictured with the League Championship Shield and the League Cup
They lost only one match which was the Final of the West Riding County FA Junior
Cup.
It was the first time a local team had reached the final of this competition. What
beautiful memories !
