One of the draw backs on working on these trucks, once in use, was that spilt flour would accumulate between the planks of the wooden rear body so that any repair involving going underneath and removing bolts and pins or any hammering or vibration would dislodge a shower of white powder from above, rendering any hay-fever sufferer immobile, or at the very least a dead ringer for a Homepride flour grader! - enough to frighten small children or a passing horse! No Health and Safety those days but what fond memories!
