I don't remember taking this particular photograph but I guess it was 1965. It appears to have been taken from the footbridge at Ferrybridge station. The branch to the Monkhill line is in place so the date cannot be earlier than 1965. The steam train is a coal train coming from the Knottingley branch. The line in the centre is the main line to Pontefract. The background is unfortunately misty but there appears to be no A1 dual-carriageway in place on the left hand side of the picture.
